Well I guess you can say the name, L.G. (which stands for the Lord's Gift) most certainly speaks for itself. The Flatbush Brooklyn born star is not your usual emcee. The 27 year old has a degree from Delaware State University in Mass Communications. Raised in a musical household, L.G. realized that he wanted to rap at the age of twelve. "My older brother was a rapper and my father was a singer and a guitarist in a band. Music was all around me." L.G. remembers performing in front of his family members on holidays like thanksgiving, but he didn't actually start going hard until 1995. Amongst his influences are Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, KRS One and Rakim. These are Rappers that he considers legends and who had their own identities...
